On Saturday, March 19, 2005 the "3rd Annual Betts - Weinmann Law Enforcement Benefit Motorcycle Ride" was held.  The "Ride" originated  at the Christopher R. Betts Precinct and ended in Warm Springs, Georgia.  The "Ride" is an annual event with all proceeds going to a Police Officer Benevolent Fund.  The "Ride" is named for Officer Christopher R. Betts who was killed in the line-of-duty on December 22, 2002 and Officer James Weinmann who was critically injured in the incident.
